Here is a quick, clear walkthrough of the Manhattan Marriage Bureau experience. You will enter together, check in, wait for your number, complete paperwork with your witness, have a brief ceremony that lasts about one or two minutes, then pick up your certificate and exit for portraits outside. Inside, the total allowed is six people including the couple. The photographer counts as one of the four guests.
If you are ready to book coverage, check availability on the NYC City Hall wedding photographer service page. For full-day weddings, see NYC Wedding Photographer.

After security, you will check in and receive a ticket number.
We begin candid coverage during the waiting period. Relax, talk, and enjoy the moment.
When your number appears, proceed to the indicated station.

You will confirm details and complete payment for the ceremony.

The ceremony
The officiant will call your names and guide a brief ceremony that lasts about one or two minutes.
Photos are allowed in public areas. We follow staff instructions at all times.
Certificate and exit
Right after the ceremony, you will receive your marriage certificate.
We then step outside for a 45-minute portrait session using the nearby architecture.
